Served a summons but filing bankruptcy

I was served a summons in the state of Michigan for cc debt on Nov. 1st. I am going to respond and have all the info to do so, but i'm wondering if i should send them an additional response that i am in the process of filing bankruptcy? Will they drop the suit?

They wont drop it until you have actually filed the bankrutcy.
They wont drop it until you have actually filed the bankrutcy. Too many people threaten but dont follow thru.
