Received a call today from a company that stated they were on behalf of Platinum b services, and that I took out a loan in 2006, i knew that i had a payday loan around that time , but thought everything was paid in full. They told me i have until tomorrow to come up with 750.00 or they will be sending this to the sheriffs dept. I found platinum b services phone number and called them, they tried located any old debt in there system and could not find anything. I live in Michigan and the company that is calling me is called atlas mediation. Heard of this collection agency?

Platinum B Services has a ton of dba's, just a few are listed below, they are also known as:
OSO Marketing
DJR Group, LLC.
CMG Groups LLC
SJM Group LLC
SSM Group
Summit Group
NONE of these lenders are legal in the state of MI. Therefore, the collection agency in question is attempting to collect on an illegal debt, however, do not admit to owing a debt to a voice on the phone, and unless you have received a letter of collection from this collection agency that is all they are, a voice on the phone.

I will do some research on this collection agency and see what I can come up with.

Atlas Mediation aka Oasis Financial Solutions 7910 Baymeadows Way Suite # 3
Jacksonville, FL 32256

They are a JOKE, another sucky bottome feeder collection agency trying to suck blood out of a turnip.

Luckily, you have the FDCPA on your side, that is a federal law that a third party collector is bound to follow. Next time they call you tell them they are required by federal law (FDCPA) to send you a written letter of collection via the mail within 5 days of their first initial contact with you and you will NOT discuss ANY alleged debt to a voice on the phone. Also tell them if they contact you again before they send you a letter of collection you will file a complaint against them with your state attorney general's office, the FTC and the BBB! And please follow through with the complaints. If you look them up at the BBB you will find they already have numerous complaints against them, you may as well lower their rating more!
