They are calling and threatening me about Cash Jar. Said there is a civil suit pending. They were very rude, keep calling my work and saying they are faxing paperwork to my place of employment today. I tried to ask her for verification and she just kept rattleing very fast and said I am guilty. Any advice?

first off cash jar is not legal in alot of states.which state do you reside in?second they can't garnish without taking you to court.third they could try to send a wage assignment, but that is voluntary and revocable.get a WAGE ASSIGNMENT REVOCATION letter to your employer asap.you can find a template in DIY section at top of the site.lastly since cash jar is not legal neither is this place.in fact i'm guessing they are either not a law firm,or cash jar themselves playing law office as the idiots line of "your guilty"is a joke at best.here is what you do besides getting the revocation letter to your employer.

1)file a police report as this mope broke the law with their threats.
2)file AG,AND FTC complaints against both places, that is if there are two places.
3)inform your boss that a bogus scam will be calling as they will call your work and break the law with that as well.
4)hang up without a word when they call,or just ignore them.have your boss and co-workers do the same.

there you go.again cash jar illegal.this place may just be cash jar saying they are a law firm.most importantly treat everything regarding cash jar as a bogus threat.

I keep getting calls from a Mr. Bendon who says he is from Kelleher Law Office in Michigan. I finally got to speak with him today, as they nomally have a voice recording for me, and he gave me the number 888-772-8753 for my attorney or me to call back to discuss. He was very insistent and rude, accusing me of being a professional debtor when I mentioned that Cash Jar is not licensed to give loans in NC (which is where I live). I asked hm if he was licensed to collect debts in NC, he said yes, and that he was calling from Michigan. I told him not to call me anymore, not at home, and certainly not at work, which is where I am now and where he called when I spoke to him. He got louder and said we should discuss this further, so I hung up. He called RIGHT BACK (even though I told him not to) and left a message that I or my attorney should call back and that this would not go away. How can you threaten a lawsuit when you won't send notice in the mail???

I had four payday loans with different companies because of this mess and getting in deeper and deeper over fees and interest. I finally closed my account and even changed banks. That was in June. Cash Jar is still calling me. So today, after putting it off long enough, I am sending them a cease and desist. I told Mr. Bendon he can contact me by email only and that he was not to call me anymore. His response: "I don't take orders form you." I am not a professional debtor, but I have read through these forums, and I have researched the laws in my state. His tactics are wrong wrong wrong, and although it's unnerving, I refuse to let him intimidate me.

I am willing to pay back the principal, but highly doubt they will allow me to send them money. They want to do auto debits, and that is NOT going to happen. I am sick over this and have lost plenty of sleep, especially since this guy is so rude and insistent. I am not used to being threatened and spoken to like I am a criminal and I ended up stumbling all over my words when he called me, even though I was determined to put him in his place.
