First of all you cannot go to jail for a default on a payday loan. If they are threatening this, then they are not a true law firm. Second, you need to find out if this company is even licensed to do business in your state. If they are not licensed, then they are considered an illegal lender and you will only owe the principal balance only.

I'm dealing with Allied Cash on a title loan, they are complete idiots behind the counter so you need to contact the corporate headquarters of Ace Cash. Luckily you don't have a title loan.

I would call their corporate office to see if you can work it out. If not, file your complaint with the AG. It really does help. Once Ace Cash gets a copy of your complaint sent to them they have 20 days to respond. Just keep good records.
