All the funds in my bank account have been taken because of a bank levy from one of my creditors. I am in the process of gathering funds to file for bankruptcy. What should I do in the interim?

With a bank levy you can't close your account unless this debtor is paid in full. If this is the only levy you have and it has been paid in full I would close your account. If you still owe on this lien and no funds are in this account when this debtor tries to withdraw funds again you will incur overdraft charges. You should call and talk to someone at your bank, explain what is going on and have them advise you as to the proper course of action with your bank account and fee's if any. That would be my suggestion.
