Over a year ago I sent my cease and desist letters to payday loans that were illegal and I had paid over the principle. I live in Minnesota. Now a couple have surfaced again like quickest-cash-advance demanding payment from there collection agency lighthouse recovery assoc. threatening to sent to their attornet Powell lawfirm. Do I have to keep sending these cease and desist letters. Do they get to disregard these after a year or so. Do I need to keep sending a debt validation letter even if I did over a year ago?:-x

being as the pdl is illegal they will lay low for a while, but if you have not filed an AG complaint against quickest cash do it.if you have filed a complaint, file a follow-up.above all else do not pay them.report them.btw i looked up powell law firm and not only is there not such a place in MN,but they don't practice collection law.if someone calls claiming to be them will be a scam as they must bring suit in your county, village, town,or bourough.file,or re-file the AG complaints and try not to engage them.a waste of your time.
