Question about Payday Max in TX
Date: Fri, 11/26/2010 - 09:40
I've read several forums on this site about a similar topic, but I wanted to be clear. I am finally in the process of clearing the PDL's from my life, and I noticed many threads that say Paydaymax is illegal anywhere in the United States. I live in TX, and have been in a cycle with them for years. My current loan is for $712.80 with $500 in principal. I have already paid a $144 extension fee. However, now that I see they are illegal, I am wondering about all the fees I have paid over the last year. Can I contact them and confront them about their legality, and reason that since I have been paying them this past year, I am through with this loan?
I appreciate your help.

Regarding your present loan with Payday Max, you need to calculate all the fees and charges that you have paid to them. Then subtract the amount from the principle loan amount of $500. That is what you owe to them. Go through the following thread to know how to deal with them: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html.

You need to close your bank account asap to protect your money from these illegal PDL lenders. Then, you should send them a letter stating that you have revoked all ACH authorizations and wage assignments. You will find a sample of this letter in the link provided by Paulcahill. File complaints against them with the AG, the BBB and the PDL regulator of your state.
