auto being charged off

long story short. i lost my job,failed to pay car loan. they are charging it off. they have never tried to repo it. i know i can't sell it with out title, but can i part it out? or is that illegal? and what if i do part it out and then they come looking for it? thanks

It's illegal!!!!! They should surely repossess the car once its charged off. I think the best thing to do is to let the car get repossessed and to settle the outstanging balance on a payment plan.
