boa is under intense scrutiny, so they may have decided not to rock the boat. read this http://market-ticker.org/akcs-www?post=173904. also, google 'discover did not own the debt'. they aren't just playing fast and loose with mortgages, but it appears there may be exactly the same problem on ccs. people just don't know so they don't fight it out in court. my 75% settlement offer so early in this game makes me think they know the gig is up.

Nice to hear that others are choosing to no longer donate $$ to these banks and settling their debts for fair amounts and moving on with our lifes. I settled all my debts and life is excellent withoutgiving banks any more money. Also happy to see that folks hear are also not caring or buying into the whole "What about my Credit Score" pitch... Settle Settle Settle, No More Debt! BOL...

I made it my resolution to stop the madness of like the above posted said" donation my money" to credit cards...I've had it and I'm just setting my plan of action into place and to the wind they all go....XXXXfingerscrossedXXXX i have as good results as others on here....staying positive~~~~
Bank of America
I'm sure by now you've heard from Bank of America plenty. They were going through some major changes back in December, and they seemed a little confused. Since then, though, things have gotten back to business as usual.
Hopefully you settled your account and are now living debt-free.

Bank of America
Give it time, trust me! Over the last two years, Bank of America has charged off $20 billion in delinquent card debt. Plus they have been at the headwaters of a few class action civil suits, both on the credit card side as well as the mortgage side. I agree, they are still under the micro scope, especially with the latest robo-signing scandle with Chase. So it will probably take some time.

Don't get your hopes up for any speedy action from them though! I have been dealing with a lawsuit involving B of A, their subsidiary FIA Card Services (who claims they still own the account and still trying to collect), a national just debt buyer, and one of their franchise debt collection attorneys. It has been well over five years and it also involves identity theft. Talk about a real mess because B of A was greedy. No speedy trial or settlement here!
This is why I started a consumer protection company and now we have 8 law firms working with us to . Hopefully others will not have to endure such BS and delays.
This is the second case in that time frame. The first case I got dismissed and the trial for this second case is finally about 60 days away, if they don't attempt anymore continuences!

Thank God I have the full Forward Flow Agreement from B of A! I also have a very hefty countersuit filed against B of A as well as one with the debt buyer. Maybe in another five years I'll get it all resolved!
Side note: And yesterday I had an "Expert" question where I get my info from as she said it was BS. We are even in the same state. (LOL) I have only been living through it for... the last... 5.5 years!

No need to get in a hurry now! :p
