i have had a default judgment against me. what should i do next?

A default usually means that you did not show up in court and the plaintiff was awarded due to your absence. If that is the case you owe the money and will have to pay it or unfortunately they will get a lien against you. As Soaplady asked were you served? If you were not you could move for improper service in most states. Work with Soaplady as she has a lot of experience in this area.
