They called for a family member no longer at this address and refused to tell me what they did as a business. Inquired as to my identy and wouldn't give me theirs. They could have been drug deals or theives for all I knew. Why should I cooperate with an unknown entity or volunteer info?

You don't have to. Just tell them that the person they're calling for doesn't live there and that you don't have their contact info. Tell them to remove your information from their list. If the calls persist after that, send a cease and desist letter.
