@ Soaplady: It really seems a bit confusing to me. Why are the Capital One people asking for an account number? It seems as if they're inquiring about the possibility of an existing credit card account with them. I guess there has to be some real good reason why we share our social with someone. The OP needs to show us through more information over here.
