I have gotten into the payday loan cycle and I am really stressing out trying to figure out how to get out of it. I am paying about 800.00 per month to just stay above water. I live in Nebraska and I have 8 of them right now. They are all storefront except one is online. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get out of this trap?

Storefront lenders you will have to pay them according to your contract. For the one that you have that is internet, what state do you live in. If this is an illegal lender all you are responsible for is the principle amount of the loan borrowed. If your not able to make your payments with the storefronts per your agreements, you'll need to contact each of them and work out a payment plan. First and foremost you need to close your bank account to stop all of them from accessing your money.

Your payday loan laws are at the link below:

I am very surprised that you have so many store front loans out at one time, your state laws specify that you should not have any more than 2 (two) loans out, however, that is your responsibility - as store front lender rely on the word of the consumer not to obtain any more loans that the law allows, you could say they count on the consumers 'word of honor'. Therefore, closing your account at this time could turn out to be a legal disaster for you, so please do not close your account, you need to contact the corporate offices of these store front lenders and make arrangements for payment. Without knowing the names of these store front lenders I am unable to determine if they are members of the CFSA. If any of them are members it could prove to be important to you and work in your favor. Please provide the info I requested above so we can plan a course of action for you!
