The first and most importantly thing to do is close your bank account so they cannot withdraw any more money. After you have closed your bank account, you need to send each one of them a letter. Please click on DIY at the top and see sample letters. Paydayone, you probably have more than overpaid them. Try to figure out what your original loan was and how much you have paid them back. Demand a paid in full letter and a refund. What was your original loan with Thinkcash and M1Y and Integrity? Keep in mind since they are illegal in the State of Ohio, you morally only owe them the principal balance (no interest or fees). File a complaint for each illegal lender with the Ohio Attorney General's Office. It is easy to do and you can file it online through the Ohio Attorney's website.

Lizzie, this is incorrect information!

Daring, PayDayOne, Elastic and Think Cash are all legal in the state of Ohio. PayDayOne will offer you and extended payment plan. You need only to call them and tell them and ask. Generally, they will divide your balance due into 5 equal payments. No further interest will be charged to you.

Elastic and Think Cash are installment loans. If you call them, they MAY work out some more affordable payment arrangements for you.

The other 2 are illegal in Ohio. You need to follow the advice in this thread. It is imperative that you secure your account before you send the illegal lender letters.

You still need to close the account because of the 2 that are illegal. Open a new account, call PDO and set up a payment arrangement with them. They will allow you pay off your current balance in 5 equal payments with no further interest charged. Get a prepaid credit card to pay them off. Use money orders to pay the illegal lenders. Do NOT give ANYONE your new account info under any circumstances. Keep in mind that you only have to repay the illegal lenders the principal amount. If you've already paid anything, you should subtract that from the amount you borrowed. I'm not sure what you owe because you have different amounts in 2 different posts above.

Don, you couldn't be more right. The most important piece of this puzzle is to NEVER take out a new loan. You pay these things off a little at a time and once you're free, you're truly free! I'm still paying on 2 of my legal loans but in just a few short months I will actually have my entire paycheck every payday. It seems like forever since that's happened.
