When Midland drew fund from my account via a credit card purchase is the first I have ever heard od them. No calls. No contacts. How did they obtain my Bank card number and how should I proceed? The Bank card has been closed. Any advise would be welcomed!!

Did you dispute the charges with your bank and have the transaction reversed as fraudulent? If you didn't authorize the withdrawal, they have no authority to put it through. Did you use that card to pay any other collection agencies? What type of debt is it that they're collecting on? Is it even a legit debt? Have you received a letter of collection? Has the debt been validated? I would contact Midland and raise hell if I were you.

Transactions depicting fraudulent charges could be reversed or get contested. You have a long term relationship with your bank on the basis of certain terms mentioned in your agreement. A very important condition is to preserve your account information. Any violation of this might see both you and your bank through serious consequences.
