PDLs are illegal in the state of NY. You need to first close your checking account, then contact the lenders as per instructions in this thread.

You are only required to repay the principal balance of the loan.

Be sure to withdraw your ACH with these companies along with any wage assignments. Also file complaints with the AG, FTC and BBB in your area. Send copies of the filed complaints to each of them via email, fax or mail. If you've paid over and above the principle amount demand a refund and PIF letter. If you still owe, make arrangements to make your payments via a prepaid money card, or send them a money order or cashiers check certified mail, return receipt.
