I received a letter from a law firm called Buckles & Buckles PLC saying Capital one is retaining them to file a claim against me and collect a debt for the balance owing capital one. in the amount off 1,426.34 . I originally owed them $550 when I stopped paying the debt over a year and a half ago after I was having financial troubles and I would make a minimum payment and then they would charge interest and it would go over the limit 5 dollars and they would charge an over the limit fee. i tried to talk to them ( cap One) when I was having financial troubles and all they would do is lower the interest for a couple of months and the interest would shoot back up again. I can't afford to hire an attorney and that was the only card I stopped paying. I could not afford it anymore. I n this letter it sounds like they are going to sue me what can I do ? I still cant afford to pay them. Help!! TIA kitten

Sure you can send them a validation but since this firm represents Capital One directly (meaning this is a NOT a junk debt) you can probably expect your DV to be answered with a summons. Call them and talk to them.
