If they are not legal to do business in your State, then why are you worried. You indicated that you have paid back the princiole and interest. Tell them to get lost that you are not paying them another dime.

and i have but what can they do from here i can deal with the calls and emails if thats it i just dont get what is it going to take to get them to back off....

Tell them you are filing a complaint with your State Attorney General's Office and then file the complaint. I live in Ohio and you can file complaints online. I had an illegal lender that was constantly harrassing me via phone calls. Once I filed my complaint and sent them a copy, they stopped calling.

Think about it....if they are not legal to do business in your State, are they going to try to sue you and take you to court? I don't think so because they are not even legal to do business in your State to begin with.

Change your phone number if you are tired of their threatening calls because they won't stop, and worse than that they will sell your information to other illegal lenders. I hope you have your account they were using, closed, if not, expect huge amounts of money to be taken out.

They can't sue you, they can't do anything to you legally, so I would tell them to shove it!

Yes my account is closed i have told them i will not pay another penny and that i have filed complaints and that since they threatened legal action to please do so. i just was not sure what else they could do they can continue to call me thats fine as long as my employer is not contacted i would love to change my number but they would still call me at work because unfourtunatly they have the number. i have had two loans out with them before and it angers me that they have gotten so much from me and they still want more. i just do not have it to give and even if i did they will be the last to get it!

I wouldn't even give them the time of day, if they call again, don't answer it, if you accidentally answer it not knowing it's them, don't even talk to them, all they want is someone to argue with.

An illegal lender was calling me constantly at work. Fortunately, they had my direct line and you cannot opt out to a receptionist. Every time they called, I told them that "she does not work here any longer." Finally, after the 10th time, they got the hint and have stopped calling my work number.
