I recently discovered this website, and have found all of the advice extremly helpful. I have multiple payday loans, most of which are illegal in my state of Oregon. I have closed my bank account and will be sending out letters revoking their ability to process ACH transactions.
My question is this. I started getting internet loans 3 years ago and over time have paid thousands of dollars in fees. But I am in a cycle where? I will pay off one loan and then take out another one with the same company a couple of weeks later. Can I subtract all of the fees that I have paid to the PDL companys off of the principle of the current loan? If so, by my records I have paid off the principle many times over.

As far as I know, if you've paid an illegal/unlicensed payday lender above and beyond the principal amount you borrowed, you can always demand a refund and a paid in full letter/receipt. However, you may or may not get them. To know more on how you can deal with illegal payday loan lenders, have a look at the given page: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html

The loans that I have that I know are not legal in the state of Oregon are:
USFastCash, current loan amount $550 paid $960
MMG Holding, current loan amount $300 paid $1065
SDS Processing, current loan amount $300 paid $780
Arrowhead Investments, current loan amount $900 paid $1435

I know that I don't have to pay any more fees on these loans, but all of these loans are reloans from companys that I have been getting loans from for years. Do I have to pay back the principle, or can I subtract it from the fees I paid for previous loans?

As you know your only responsible to pay back the principle amount. From your list you've already paid back the principle amount of each loan, so you'll need to demand a refund for those amounts paid over and above the principle amount. You can't deduct fee's from one loan to apply to another. Since you've been working with these companies for years, and you refuse to pay any more money, most likely they will no longer deal with you.

Buzzette,
I'm sorry to keep asking this, but I wasn't sure on your answer. On all of my current loans I have not yet to made a payment. The amount that I listed that I have paid is for previous loans with these same PDL companies. Am I responsible for paying back the principle of the current loans?

Buzzette,
I???m sorry to keep asking this but I???m still unsure as to the correct answer. I have yet to make a payment on any of my current PDLs. All of the fees that I have listed are for payments for previous loans with the same PDL companies. Am I responsible for paying back the principle of the current loans?
