Just got a call from "Don" from Alliance Asset stating I had a PDL from Cash Direct Express. Never heard of them nor got a PDL from them. I think I ticked off Don because he passed me to "Dan" the office manager. Dan stated the same and I also advised him that I never heard of the PDL....he also stated they go by GEC (sp)? I never heard of them either. I asked him if any of the PDL have licenses in Ohio. He didnt know but stated Alliance Asset does.....talking in circles haha

Anyone else deal with these?

Yes, I have heard of them and they are ILLEGAL. They are trying to pull the wool over your eyes and I am glad you didn't fall for it! Obviously, some of your other illegal lenders has shared or sold your information with them and only God knows who else. I wouldn't be surprised if you start receiving calls from those scammers from India who threaten to throw you in jail, in other words, be prepared for anything at this point.

Oh and, since Alliance Asset is calling you now you might want to arm yourself with consumer protection laws, because they are a 3rd party collector and must abide by federal laws (FDCPA), just google it. I can also provide you with some links on the FDCPA. Next time they call, tell them you do not discuss alleged debts on the telephone and you are aware that they must abide by the FDCPA and send you a dunning letter through the mail within 5 days after they first contact you, and if they don't send you a dunning letter, you will be playing hard ball by keeping a record of each call they make so when you file a complaint against them for non compliance of the FDCPA you will be able to provide accurate details. Something else, tell them if they continue to call you and break any of the FDCPA laws you are also aware that you can sue them.

The same thing has happened to me. I received a call on 7-9-11 from Alliance Asset Management stating that I owed for two loans. One to Cash Direct Express and one to Sure Advance. They stated both these loans were issued on 6-20-11 and the loan money was direct deposited into a bank account that had been closed. I have never heard of either of these companies. They money was direct deposited to a Chase bank account and I have never had a Chase bank account. To make things even more confusing, I could not figure out how any loans could have been issued because I already had a fraud alert on my social security number with Equifax, TransUnion and Experian. The loan companies told me they do not check credit thru the 3 main credit reporting agencies, they use Teletrac, which once again I have never heard of. The application submitted online apparently did not even have all of my correct information but they still issued the loans without verifying the identity. It seems like if these were legitimate companies they would try to make sure they are issuing loans to the right person by checking with the major credit reporting agencies and not some company no one has ever heard of.

Was you able to resolve your issues with these companies? Do you have any suggestions to help?
