Thank you for the information, it is sincerely appreciated. I did check and none of the companies are licensed in Michigan. Is there a link to the law(s) in the State of Michigan that I can go to and include in the letters that I will send to each of the companies. Thanks.

Let me do some research and get back to you "Unregistered."

East side lenders is illegal. Integrity is illegal. DJR is illegal. One Click Cash is illegal and run by an Indian tribe. They are known to use rather aggressive tactics. Do NOT back down, you owe them only principal. Nationwidecash is illegal. Cashcure is illegal. Direct Express Cash is illegal. So all these internet "lenders" should be illegal ones in MI. (If there is a storefront in there somewhere, let me know.) But otherwise, follow the directions in this sticky thread on how to deal with illegal lenders: http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/illegal-pdl-dealings.html

If the internet lenders forward the information to a collection agency, should I send the collection agency the letter stating that I only owe the principal?
No, never admit to owing a debt to a collection agency. They are
No, never admit to owing a debt to a collection agency. They are required to send you a dunning letter via the mail within 5 days of their first contact with you per federal law (FDCPA), at which time you would send them a debt validation letter, but you can cross that bridge when and if you come to it, I rather doubt it will happen.
illegal in michigan
well the account is closed and my bank was awesome and the lenders ALL received their letters and they are not willing to refund or anything at this point, nationwide cash says they don't need any license in any state since they have a trade agreement?? Whatever that means I believe it means they are full of crap so when I hear from them again I will just simply tell them to meet me in Michigan and we will go to the nearest court house and settle it in front of a judge. thanks for your advice and your post on here it has been very helpful and I didn't realize they {any of these Lenders} were illegal to lend in Michigan. i have paid them over the amount borrowed and thought it was odd that it was still coming out of my account.Well they won't be getting another penny :p

collection letters
Today I have received 2 letters from a collection agency called Alliance Asset management regarding GECC and Cashcure both letters are identicle to eachother but they are saying I owe way more than what I do owe,, I got a loan from from Gecc and paid so far 708.00 for a $600.00 loan.. I got a loan from cashcure for $400 and so far have paid back $212.00 .. so I figure I owe GECC nothing and I owe the other morally 185... any suggestions on how to handle them??? i also looked up their license and they are not licensed to collect in the state of Michigan.. Should I send them a letter or email it to them??? They call my house at 15 times a day and I am about to give them an ear full the next time they call about collecting illegal PDL's and not having a license to collect in Michigan and they fact they have violated the law by writting that I owe an amount that is greater than the amount owed
