Collections record missing from CR

I recently checked it because I wanted to get the info from that collection and try to offer a PTD or something. When i checked it just a few days ago my credit score rose 59 points and I can no longer find the collections item there. The only thing it shows is 3 potentially negative items, all 3 I remember are from years ago and are all paid and closed.
It would be awesome if it just vanished without me having to take care of it but it still seems highly unlikely.
What should my next step be, should I try to call the collection agency? should i just live and let live? any help would be awesome.

You've mentioned that 3 potentially negative items are being shown on your credit report which you have paid off years ago and are closed. If you've required document in regards to that, then you should dispute them with your credit bureaus by sending them a dispute letter.
As far as the negative item, which has vanished from your credit report, is concerned, you should contact the original creditor and collection agency and check out the status of that account. This will make things clear to you to some extent.

Items for which you had been delinquent and judgment records are supposed to stay on your credit report for a period of 7 years since the first time that you skipped payments (as per Experian norms). Entries are likely to get removed from the credit bureau records automatically once the time period gets over.
