Date: Mon, 01/10/2011 - 10:51
I reieved a call from an (investigator) for a online payday loan company. He threatened Me with prosecution for hot checks. at the time that i took out the loan i had every intention of repaying it. Unfortunatly the job i was working at cut my hours and then i was laid off for an idefinate periob of time. I called and told the loan company and explained my problem,i also told them that the money was not going to be in the bank. They said that they were going to send it in anyway. After 4 times of resending i had to close the bank account. i also had told the bank to stop accepting the ach being sent in, but they sald they had to accept them and then i was charged $35.00 for each rejection as an insuffiecient funds fee. My question is can I be charged for writing a hot check in the state of Texas??
What is the name of the payday lender? Was this an online payday
What is the name of the payday lender? Was this an online payday lender? Are they licensed to lend in your state? Was there a paper check written as collateral
