Today I received a call from "Detective Aunesha Fox" stating that they attempted to serve me at my prior residence (have since then moved out of state) and that I was being brought up on felony charges for an outstanding payday loan through MMG. She stated that she knew where my Corporate office was located and that she would be contacting them to get a garnishment and that she would be contacting the county that I now reside in to have me served/picked up for "felony bad check". Previously I resided in WA state and not sure if MMG is even a legal company in that state. Now I reside in AZ so I not sure how this all works.

Has anyone else had to deal with "Detective Fox"? I asked to receive verfication of the debt but she would not provide me with any information. Phone number she provided is 716-748-6249. What should I do? She has contacted me 3 times already today with the same threats and is contacting me at work- not sure what information she is providing when she speaks with them..... I informed her that I could not receive calls at work. Any advice on how to handle this matter? She stated I owe over $2K????

everything this idiot stated was illegal, and MMG is an illegal lender so the loan would not be enforceable in court.that is why they threaten like that.first file a police report for the multiople illegal threats.then use them of this bottomfeeder, and the number you have to file AG,AND FTC complaints.let me see if i can find some more info on them, but for now do that and know that MMG is illegal, and whoever this is broke the law several times with their call.file the report and complaints.then ignore them.they can do nothing.in fact the more over the top they are with the threats, and believe me that was pretty over the top.the least likely it will happen.

Thank you for the information. I filed a complaint with the DFI office in WA and the FTC. This is CRAZY. So, glad that I did not let my fear get the better of me. Thank you for putting me a little more at ease. Hopefully they will not actually call my Corporate office but if they do, I have record of the complaints that I have filed against them. I provided the name, company name and the phone number that the "Detective Aunesha Fox" provided for Brown, Scott Attorney's....

Thanks again!

By the way, FYI, MMG has several alias names:
Mmg marketing group aka Mmg Holdings aka CMG Group aka Ashland Financial aka M1Y DIRECT.
Just ridiculous isn't it, all of these Illegal Internet lenders are in the same circle of crime. Want to read something interesting on how these Internet payday lenders are getting away with it? READ THIS!

Well unfortunately this continues, I received a call from my father tonight asking what is going on. He received a call today stating that I had a felony complaint pending in WA state from this "Detective Fox". Now I am assuming she probably did contact my Corporate office and tell them I have a felony pending. How do I make this stop? Should I call back and say I reported them? Suggestions?

They have now contacted my father and stated that I have a felony complaint pending in WA. My father called me tonight to ask what was going on. I cannot believe that they can continue to call all these people and I am assuming my Corporate office as well and state that I have a felony pending. How do you make this stop? I could literally lose my job.... I have reached out to WA DFI and the FTC but obviously they keep making calls.....

This is the third time that I have tried to add to this thread and ask for additional help. It will show up and then when I come back to look to see if anyone has responded my response is not there..... Not sure what I am doing wrong. So, the "detective Fox" contacted my father today too and told him that I have a felony pending in WA state. I am assuming that they contacted my Corporate office as well and told them I am apparently now a felon..... How do I get this to STOP? I filed a complaint with the FTC and with WA State. Any other recommendations? Is there an email address to tell them to cease and desist in writing???

I wish there were something I could tell you to do which is effective at making the calls stop, but honestly, there just isn't anything you can say or do that will make them stop calling you. You are dealing with criminals, and criminals don't follow the law.

You are doing the right thing by filing complaints with your state attorney general and the FTC, include the BBB. In those complaints make sure you explain in detail some of the threats that are being made against you, express how upset and scared you are because of it. Our state authorities need to know how badly these Internet criminals are affecting our lives!

The best advice I can give you is to NOT speak to them on the phone, the more you talk to them, the more they will call. They want someone to argue with and intimidate, do NOT give that to them!

A cease and desist letter will not stop them, you can try it, but it will probably just be tossed into the garbage and ignored. If the truth be known, Scott Brown probably doesn't exist.
