Has anyone received a call from an Ashley Banks stating that she has an actions of summons on her desk and that if you do not call the Plaintiff back directly at (855) 593-0071 then court papers will be served at place of employment?

I've been dealing with these people scam people for quite some time now. I have filed complaints with the FTC, and my AG office. This is the most recent communication sent from the investigator who was handling my case at the AG office

Hi
Thank you for updating me on your situation. I am so sorry you are going through this. Unfortunately, it is difficult to track these people down.

I spoke with my supervisor. Since it’s a payday loan, Section 37-4 of the Ct Statutes prohibits the assessment of interest in an amount over 12% per year. Section 37-8 of the Ct statutes prohibits any action to recover the loan, principal or interest. This is a civil statute so you would have to assert this defense if they try to collect in court.

Next time they call tell them they’re in violation of Connecticut law and you’ll see them in court if they want to pursue it. Then ignore any further collection calls.

I hope that helps.

I know I should try not to let this upset me, especially seeming that the AG office is telling me these people are scam artists. It just gets overwhelming at times.

Has anyone received a call from this person or someone leaving this number? I filed an FTC complaint again, however I can't file the BBB complaint because they don't have any info on the number. I would like to get the info so I can file a complaint with the BBB as well. If anyone can help...thanks.

Oh my, there seems to be a HUGE increase in payday lender scams. I found some very interesting information recently
