I have 2 medical bills which I am paying off every month. Both are from the same company, but one is being collected through a collections agency that is not charging interest and the second one, through a local collections agency, came last month with an extra$10 of interest after a few months on this payment plan, never applied interest before, is this legal? Is there any way of fighting this?

When you signed for financial responsibilty for your medical provider, it usually inclues interest. The CA doesnt charge you the interest...the creditor does and updates the CA with the new balance.
