The moment I knew that I was not going to be able to make the payment I contacted zip19 and asked if I could make payments. I was told that they do not make payment arrangements, but if the amounts were returned by my bank I could make payment arrangements with E-care. I informed my bank and set up a stop payment knowing that I would be unable to pay the amounts that they were going to be debited. However they re-debited my account after the stop for a different amount. I therefore put a hold on "Northway Financial" from further debiting my account. However, when I was contacted by E-care, and I explained my situation, I was also denied a payment plan. I made it clear that I certainly wanted to pay down the loan, but I needed to do it in increments. I was told that they would not refuse any payment that I was going to send in, through the moneygram system, but the agent continually tried to get me to pay the amounts and offered me the opportunity to re-loan. I just wanted to make payments to pay down the loan. The following week, before I could make an increment payment, they were able to debit my account again. After investigation from my bank, I was informed that they were using a different ID number to get around my hold on my account. I settled things with my bank and the amounts were returned.
I was planning to make the increment payment through the western union soon, but am a little scared after doing research and finding that this company is not operating legitimately. Should I still make the payments? Can they really do wage garnishing? I am at a loss of what to do.
PLEASE HELP!

Zip 19 I believe is an illegal lender based in Malta. You only owe the principal. Close your bank account and send them a letter telling them you will only pay the principal by money order. I am sure that one of the payday loan experts will chime in.
zip19
Thanks for the reply. Do you happen to know if this company has a history of selling information to outside companies. Since I have loaned with them I have been getting calls from scam companies who know my information trying to get me to pay for amounts that I have never owed them. I know that they are scams because they refuse to give me documented info as well as use harrassing tactics, calling from all different international numbers. I was just wondering if they got the info from this company.

SOAPLADY is exactly right about them being in malta, and yes they will either sell,or assign it to a bottomfeeder that will violate every law in trying to get payment.one question.did anything get debited at all?if so deduct that from the principle and also as SOAPLADY stated you only owe the princple.no interest.keep us posted as we can help in dealing with both zip19 and any bottomfeeder that tries to collect.

I have read in the past posts about zip19 that others have sent them a letter informing them of their repayment intentions. Should I send a letter, such as a "cease" letter laying out my intentions to pay off the debt and the increments that I am willing to make to pay down the debt?

Do you actually owe them anything? How much was your original loan? How much have you paid? You may already have paid them in full....you only morally have to pay the principal.
