Well... I don't have a personal experience in dealing with Nordstrom Bank credit card. Neither me nor my friends have dealt with this bank. However, if you're facing a hardship in paying off your credit card bills, you should definitely contact the bank and inform them about it. You can even write a hardship letter for the same. If you can convince the credit card company about your financial hardship, there are high chances that you can get a hardship settlement.

hello
I just called them today too..they offered me a hardship settlement or lower my monthlies (for 5 years) until full amount is paid off and then my account will be closed.it may hit your credit rating too.....I do think that the difference of the balance that creditors settle for is considered "income" and that is reported to the IRS..this happened to me years ago...which was fine as i legally owed that money and since they settled and it saved me so much anxiety to not have them calling and you keep avoiding them etc. and by that time i was back on my feet and everything was fine....it's only money.... and i am sorry to hear that you and others (like myself) are going over a hump in our lives....but everything will work out!!!
.good luck getting things back in order.

Hi nordstrom card holder,
What percentage did they offer you for the hardship settlement? I called them today and they said they can settle at 70%, and can not lower that that. I am two months late.
