I am planning to rent an apartment in the next month. Now what I want to know is that, if I keep on making the rent payments on time, will it appear on my credit report? Will it help my credit anyway?

Hi!
Welcome to the forums!
Usually, positive rental payments don't get reported on the credit report. But, the officials at the Experian have announced few days back that, they will report positive rental payments on the credit report from now onwards. So, if you pay your rents on time, it will help you build credit in future. However, one thing you should keep in mind that it will only show up on Experian credit reports.
