lawsuit pending (us cash advance)

Said that I received a loan from US Cash Advance
Both Justin (who claimed to be a paralegal) and the lawyer (shawn something) spoke in Indian accent.
I couldn't really get into a conversation with them seeing as I was at work...but it didn't help with the fact that I kind of got paranoid.
So when I got home I went to search New York Court system to see if there are any cases pending against me (which none were).
Please help...I don't know what to do.

Thanks for you reply...
And that well may be true but I did read online that you can be arrested for contempt of the court.
What if these guys do file a lawsuit and I don't get any notification about court date?
Sorry...I'm just really stressed out over this.

Thank you. The avatar is my cat, she died last week.
Anyway, as I said before, owing a debt is a civil matter, what you are talking about is a completely different issue. Look up "contempt of court".

Thank you both for replying
It's just that it stressed me out when they called...and when I asked for the documents to be faxed over they told me that their fax machine was broken and they couldn't email it to me either.
I have never taken a loan from us cash advance.
I just don't want to deal with these people.

I can understand how you feel, the best way to handle it is to file complaints with your state attorney general and the FTC. If they call you again, don't talk to them, they want someone to argue with, don't give that to them.

I got the same call 10 minutes ago and I got so upset I called my bank and everything. They had my social security number and where I banked. Did they have yours?

Stop worrying about the dang lawsuit. You need to be worried about your identity. That is what they are trying to get and it looks like they are doing a pretty good job because they just did it to me and like I said they have all my info. Did they tell u they had your social. See i said they have the wrong person and they said this isnt your social and read it off to me and I said no and then he said you don't bank at so and so and I said no and hung up and they tried to call me back
uscash lawsuit
Do me a favor. Please call your bank etc and make sure nothing is going on. I did. You need to be prepared now. See I worked at a Staffing Agency for 5 years and I saw identity theft right and left and how bad it can get for the person. Please contact all your financial institutions, your credit card holders etc and make sure that everything is ok. I just put identity theft insurance on my childrens social securtiy numbers, so please be careful. I hate to see this happen to anyone else. I myself am a little worried right now, but I called the bank etc so.,.....
