Nelly,
For some reason BCR calls my parents everyday asking for my brother. My brother has his own life and hasn't been home since 2007. How can I handle this because I amgetting upset, my parents don't need thisright now...please advise...Thank you.

Hi!
Welcome to the forums!
You parents should ask BCR why they are trying to reach your brother? Do what Anna has suggested. Another thing, I would like to add is, according to the FDCPA laws, the collection agencies can't call family or friends of the consumer more than once. Since they have been making calls days after days, so your parents can take legal action against them if they want to. Your parents should also inform BCR that they are very well aware of the federal laws and will soon take legal action against them. This may stop BCR from making further collection calls.

better yet your parents should use the number they have for them, and file a police report.that should get rid of these jerks for them.if it persists your parents should look into suing this bottomfeeder.they are violating the FDCPA with their actions and should pay,but have them file the police report first.see if that works.
