So I contacted them through email with the letter and information and they called me yesterday stating that they got my email and wanted to know what was going on and that i owed money. Unfortunately when I closed my account the first payment of 75.00 had not gone through yet I had a previous loan info below. so after the voicemail I sent another email stating that I will only communicate through email and they contacted my mom today and my old work and left me a message saying if i did not call today by 2 which has passed that they would send me to collections and it would be a additional 390 dollars plus the 250 and that basically i have taken the money and ran.... They cant do this right? what should i say what should i do?

You need to check out whether or not pdls are legal in your state. If they are not legal in your state, then you will not have to pay the late fees or charges that they are levying on your account. You can simply pay the principal balance and get rid of it. If the pdls are legal, then you'll have to pay off all the dues. In that case, they can even charge off the account to a third party collection agency. You may go for a pdl consolidation in order to get rid of the dues.
