I am sued over a car loan. Car was reposessed and sold for a redicilous price, and I am now sued for the balance. I live over 300 miles away from the court where I am sued in, and have no way of getting there. ( No car as it was repoed..)
What can I do exactly to get a judgment I can live with? Who do I contact? There is no info on the papers that was delivered here.
Gratefull for any help.

You need to respond to the summons thru the court . If they are not suing you in the county in which you reside, you need to object on the grounds of improper venue. However they will probably turn around and then file in your county.

You do not really have an option to get a judgment you can live with. You can attempt to settle with the lender but they are not under any obligation to do so.

Hi!
Welcome to the forums!
Soaplady is right. You're liable to pay off the deficit balance. You can't avoid it. You can contact your lender and settle your debt out of court and request him/her to withdraw the case from the court. If they don't agree to do so, then consult an attorney. He/she will help you out to deal with the matter.
