B of A business card settlement is stuck at 30%. It gets charged off at the end of the month. I was shooting for about 20-25%. 12 days left. Think they will go lower? From all the searching I did on this site it seems like I can at least get 25%, but they said 30 is the lowest they can go. A bluff? This is my first card to settle with so I am still unsure. The others will be easier. Any thoughts at this point? Aside from calling back 2 days before charge off... Thanks!!

We had a personal BofA card that we settled for 25% this past January. Once we passed 150 days we called and upped our offer from 20% to 22%. They were still stuck on 30%. We upped our offer to 25% right at the 170 day mark and they took it. Our balance was about $30K when we settled. In the end we really turned the tables and started calling them every few days or so and making our offer and telling them we were trying to get more money to offer.

Hope that helps you. 30% is still a great settlement if you can only get that. I would keep trying for the next week, maybe up your offer a tiny bit and hope they budge. Good luck!

I will try calling every couple days and slowly upping my offer. Right now I am still low-balling them a little since I was hoping for around 20%. It is looking like that may be too aggressive, and 25% is more realistic. Not to be too greedy, but all those small % add up over numerous cards. Thanks for the info, it all helps. You will probably be hearing a lot from me in the next 45 days. I have 5 cards coming up on the 180 day mark. Fun!!
