Zwicker settlement fo ge money

I have reached a settlement with an atty from zwicker & assoc and she sent me a mutual release to sign. Is this common practice ? I am not sure exactly if i should sign or not. They will mark acct settled, paid not pd

As far as I know, once you pay off the account as per the settlement, then the creditor/collection agency will report the account as settled. I will suggest you to read through the mutual release agreement properly and then sign on it. If you have any doubts regarding any of the clauses, make sure to contact the attorney and ask her to explain it to you.
