I went to my bank today to close my account and asked them to put a hard on the account but they said that they couldn't. I went ahead and closed the acocunt anyway but I was too late to stop my next deposit from going to the closed account. What should I do now?

I don't understand what you are asking, you said it's too late to stop your deposit? Do you mean your payroll deposit? Did you speak to the branch manager? Any other employee wouldn't know anything about a hard debit block, only the branch manager can authorize it.

I did speak with the branch manager and she informed that they do not do hard debit blocks on closed accounts. She also informed me once my payroll check is deposited in the closed account, it will be returned to my employee because there was no longer an account for it to go to. Does that make sense? I'm so confused and I don't know what else to do.
