Send him a cease and desist letter and tell him not to contact you regarding this. If he continues to call tell him that you are recording every call and giving them to the Attorney General and the FTC and your attorney. He is a fraud. If he does not stop just hang up. Do not talk to him and eventually he will give up. If her won't give you an address just ignore him.

So you have closed your checking account? Good for you; this company might never try to get at your money, but it's best to be sure. And he's representing himself as being with the "Justice Department," huh? If he's indeed trying to pass himself off as being with a Federal Govt. agency, that's breaking the law. He didn't by chance say which payday loan company, did he? And did you get his phone #? It's possible that other people here have dealt with him, too. If you feel like talking to him again, tell him he must send you something in writing; do not admit over the phone to owing any money to him or anyone else. Otherwise, if he calls again, hang up; if you read the sticky on this site "the scam goes on and on," you'll get a lot of information about how the scam artists out there work. Any other questions, this is the place to ask 'em!
