If the account has been given to collections, then you should negotiate with your collection agency so that you can get a payment plan to pay them off in an affordable manner. If you're unable to deal with the collection agency on your own, then it's better to take help of any debt relief company. They will negotiate with your debt collectors and give you an affordable payment plan which will help you in paying off the debts.

Whoa! Hold on. First you need to determine if the pdls are legal in your state. If not, then you are only obligated to pay back what you borrowed. If they are storefront and legal, then you should negotiate payment with them. If they are illegal, you can negotiate with the collection agency to pay ONLY what you borrowed. Read through prior posts on how to deal with illegal payday loan companies.

No, they don't sue. I'm still being harassed by one from 2 years ago that was turned over to collection agency after collection agency. I paid them the principal......I just ignore the phone calls.
