I just received faxed settlement letters from Chase on two Accts:

We are pleased to confirm your acceptance of our settlement agreement in the amount of xxx (30 percent of what I owed). All interest and fees will be waived until the settlement is finalized. Please disregard any conflicting rate or fee information that appears on you monthly statement while you are in the process of finalizing your settlement agreement. As part of our settlement agreement, we will stop all efforts to collect.

You will be considered in default from our agreement in the event one of the following occurs:

You do not make each required payment by the due date listed
We receive a payment of less that the payment amount listed below
Your payment is returned for insufficient funds (NSF)

If you default from your settlement agreement, your interest rate for all balances will change in accordance with your Cardmember Agreement and we will continue our collection efforts.

The due date was 2.22.11, I recieved the letter today, They dated the letter 2.23.11.
I was going to go into the bank to pay this on tomorrow because I received this letter today after bank was closed. Do you think I should? 1 acct is set to charged off on 2.28.11:confused:

chase messed up our settlement letter twice before getting it right. I would call them, tell them the problem and ask them to resent the letter with a date far enough in the future for you to ave the chance to pay it. You can ask them to fax it to you although with Chase that takes a few days too. Good luck. I would NOT send them money without the letter being right.
