over-debiting account

My question is, are CheckNGo places allowed to debit your account 5 times in one week, each time collecting payment? The amount that they collected was more than my weekly salary, so is there a law against this? It seems like a form of garnishment to me. I live in SC and this is a no garnishment state. Please help.

A PDL hit my account for three amounts in one day and the Credit Union did not charge me the fees they said it was phishing I closed my account
