Credit Card Consolidation/Counseling
Date: Fri, 02/25/2011 - 19:15
Because of bad health problems and a lack of insurance I was forced to leave my job and apply for disability last year. It is a long process and i have survived so far on savings and credit but my 2 cards are about maxed and even the minimum payments are too high for me given my means. I have a Discover at $1500 and a Citi Visa at $4200 with a total minimum due of about $120 monthly.
I would like to get this as low as possible but am wary about adds I see and phone calls I get about consolidation. what I would really like is a list of reputable agencies that I can speak with until I find the best deal. I don't know if it matters but my credit rating is average.
All suggestions will be greatly appreciated, thank you.

I stopped paying my credit cards this month to settle. I always paid the cc online using my bank acct # and routing #. Can the cc companies access my bank acct without my approval because it's listed in my cc profile. I tried to delete it but could not.
