You can get the name of the collection agencies from your credit
You can get the name of the collection agencies from your credit report. Search the names of the collection agencies in the Internet. You'll get the contact details of the collection agencies. Once you get their contact details, send them a written request to validate the debt. If they send you the debt validation letter and prove that the accounts have been sold to them, then you can pay the debt in full or negotiate settlement with them. It is always better to communicate through letters. You'll get to know about the debt amount from the debt validation letter itself.
Is giving them my name enough information for them to know which
Is giving them my name enough information for them to know which account I am inquiring about? I'm assuming it would be, I don't have my account number with them. I just don't want them to receive my letter, and not know what I am talking about.
Thanks!
