Guys, this is ABSOLUTELY ridiculous. Who in the world approved this thread as it stands? I did not edit out the wording above because I wanted everyone to notice what happens when we do not properly approve threads.
Please--PLEASE--in the future, when approving threads, READ THE WHOLE POST BEFORE CLICKING THE BUTTON....this made us all look like a complete bunch of morons!

no, this one was approved....when a thread has not been approved yet, it will not show up as an approved thread. In the moderate options, "unapprove thread" was highlighted as an available option. Someone cleared this thread. It also did not show up in the list of threads awaiting moderation.

Yes its very important to check all posts before approving them. Also in many cases we find genuine posts being deleted. We restore them after we receive message from the poster or ask them to post again.

I have a feeling this thread was never approved/moderated and just made it through the filter, as Shazz suggested earlier. I've noticed that ALL threads, even those that weren't "held for moderation" have the option of "unapprove thread." Maybe that's something we could update for the future?

If any spam post pass through the moderation filter and if you notice them then it is better to delete it instead of sending it to moderation (Unapprove Thread). But if you find repeated spams being posted (after passing moderation filter) by a single user then you can send it to moderation by using Unapprove Thread option. This will help us to take note of the user ip.
