Hello All

Longtime lurker, first time poster. I stupidly had my girlfriend get 3 payday loans back in December. We are from NH where the law states the MAX interest should be 1.36 per 100 i believe, but we are getting charged much more than that. Up to 30 per 100. The three companies are

500FastCash - Borrowed 350, paid 90
Signmyloan.com - Borrowed 150, paid back a chunk not sure exaclty how much
Payday Loan Yes - Borrowed 350 paid 90 every week for a month and a half.

She gets paid every week and 500FC and signmyloan take out bi weekly. But PAYDAY LOAN YES was taking out $90 EVERY WEEK. That is like double dipping if you ask me. The checking account is now negative and 500fc and I think payday loan yes have been calling. She talked to 500FC and they said she owes 690 now but if she makes a payment today they can stop the fees and make a payment plan. I told her do not make that payment right now. These places are illegal. So she is nervous about them calling her employer etc. Where is a good place to start the process of getting these places to stop? What should she say/do when she speaks to them? We fully expect to pay what we borrowed but the fees are just gouging.

Thanks!

Only "low cost" loans are legal in your state, see the link below:
paydayloaninfo.org/state-information/37

NONE of the lenders you mentioned above are legal in your state, or anywhere else for that matter. They are what I refer to as, Internet criminals.

Close your account, it really is your only option, that account has now been compromised, it will never be safe again, you can almost guarantee that every other Internet payday lender has your personal account information as well. I am going to give you a couple of links below, please read them, please. Follow the outline on how to deal with illegal lenders, don't skip any steps. Also read about how these scams work.

After the account is closed you will probably receive calls from bogus collection firms, or bogus attorneys, etc., prepare yourself by reading the link below, or, change your phone number. If you have any further questions now or in the future, refer back to this thread, that way all of your information will be on one place for easy reference and you won't need to repeat yourself over and over again. Good luck and keep us posted.
