I have been dealing with the group since last summer 2010 when I got the phone call stating I owed money on textbboks from 2005 or 2006 That they were hired to collect the debt of 300 plus dollars. After a rude harrassing conversation that was going nowhere plus threats to harm my credit score I ageed to send them $20 every 2 weeks. Ofcourse they tried to arm wrestle me on the phone to caugh up more and the more they become insulting to my character the more I declined. They could not "share" any information about who ,what, where ,only when

I set up a bill payment plan as I do with other bills on my checking account...they got everything they said I owed on time ad consistantly. I had a start and stop date to the payments via my online banking system. I even checked it January to include the odd amount in the balance of the final payment.

Regardless I still got harrassing phone calls. It seemed like everyone I spoke with agreed that the payments were received but I was told that there is no way their "system" can stop calling even people who are lving up to their end of this shady experience. Then I asked why do I get several phone calls in the same day? They denied that this happens and told me I did not know what I was talking about, that I was acting "rediculous"

I spoke to a Jennifer McDonald a supervisor with no customer service skills( She was the one who screamed at me about how rediculous I am), who actually stated that she didn't know what type of textbooks would cost $300...obviously she had never had a higher level of education! As a teacher, I occassionaly get sent books to evaluate could the books returned unopened never got back to the publisher? In today's desperate economy textbooks can be sold for good money given what they cost!

So I figured out how to call block their number, the payments keep going out, the calls kept coming, most of the time I would let the phone ring and it would display call blocked, and I knew where it was coming from

I did speak with a nice supervisor, who acutally told me to block the calls as a means to stopping the situation or "just hang up" I told her about the multiple calls and she validated that will continue to happen.

I thought I had put this mystery to rest when I picked up the phone a few minutes ago and had a conversation with Kimberly Lambert a call person

She informed me that I still owe 20.19 on the account. Really? She started with the same harrassing attitude. I told her that I had a start and stop date based on the total the origianl rep told me..."yes she was wrong and no longer with us" I told her I would send out the final payment next Friday 3/11/11 She wanted the payment over the phone right now or she was going to hit my ability to get credit...more harrassement. Ofcourse not even seeing that her company made a mistake..and that I was willing to settle the mystery debt in my usual, consistant way....

Then the conversation took the same ugly tone with an authoratative attitude that "if you do not pay now" plus a $6 additional fee ( her original request for $20.19 was really now 26.19) to close the case and take my persoanl information out of the system to avoid identity theft..she was going to take action immediately. I told her I was not paying the additional $6 she instructed me to go to the Bank and file out the paper work with them to avoid any expose to identity theft. This really made me concerned about what part her vendictive role could be in this identity theft.. perhaps this is what she was taught to do to meet her quota to save her job.

I asked her if she had ever seen some of the sites regarding the company she works for? She said that they are created by people who owe money and there is no truth to those situations.

I told her I would be more than happy to include her name in area that is seen in public such as these discussions...so here I am.

Oh yes I have already sent the $20.19 via my safe payment method (via a reputable bank) not by giving out my credit card number to someone who sounded spiteful enough to do "her damage" to my identity. She already had too much of my personal information plus an arrogant, "I am going to get you" attitude.

I felt it necessary to purge this rediculous experience here so everyone could validate their own experiences.:D Oh by the way...if you explore the sites you may even read a post that claims they give out fictious names to people who ask for a name because of these types of postings!

It is good that you sent the money through safe payment method. It is always advisable to not reveal personal information to the unknown people. By the way, you can take legal action against the collection agency for threatening and harassing you. Another thing, have you ever asked them to validate the debt? This would have helped you know whether you really owed any money to the CA.
