On the May 4th I made an arrangement with the first national collection agency to pay off an old debt. They called me with a settlement offer and I agreed to make three, once a month, payments for the 23rd of the next three months. Today is May 7th and the first payment has already been withdrawn from my account. Kind of worried what their next move might be. what do i do?

What I can suggest you is that you should contact First National Collection Bureau and ask them to give you a formal agreement regarding the settlement offer and ask them to debit money only on the 23rd and not prior to that.

I have made arrangements with another collections agency to settle my debt and after making the payments they left the remaining balance on my report. FYI they reserve the right to demand the remain balance in the future just so you know. Depending on the age of your debt it might be best to just send a Cease & Desist letter and just wait for the statue of limitations to kick in.
