As far as I know, you can include the debt in your bankruptcy filing and get it discharged. To say that you'll be liable for the debt even though you filed bankruptcy is just a scare tactics used by the shop in order to to recover their money.

When we did and we had a Zales card, yeah they asked about the mdse but we told them weknow longer have it and the debt was included in the bankruptcy. We were not responsible for any of it. The same principal as if you have a Sears or Best Buy card and they ask for the mdse, you just tell them you no longer have it and the debt is included in the bankruptcy. Your answer truly confused me. Could you explain please??
