I have a debt that stems from a $6000 live check received from HSBS in 2006. Now the amt owed is 9000 despite many payments made. No payment has been made in 6 months. Had asked for and been refused for hardship. Now it has been accelerated but still with beneficial. Can I argue predatory lending and get a reduced settlement? can ask for a long term settlement?
