I got a default notice yesterday, I got summoned last Sept., and I sent the summon to my debt settlement company, and honestly tought that I had until next year to settle it. I was mistaken, and yesterday I got a default notice. What can I do now, I found the papers and realized that inadvertently I did not answer, but I had been depositing money every month for this debt. Can I still answer to the summon or it is too late? Thank you to all!

Debt settlement companies do NOT get involved with any legal proceedings., This is standard. Unfortuanately they tend to push legal proceedings aside.
