I have relocated from Virginia to Florida since 08/2008. I am a full time student and not financially sound currently. I owed dell computers credit card debt of about $1,600.00 since 2008 and because I have not been working, I told dell about my financial situation and the reason for defaulting my payments. Dell has added interest to up to $2,400.00. I have just received a call from my former address in Virginia regarding a court appearance on 4/26/11. Since I've been a FLorida resident since Sept. 2008. What must I do? I even have my final semester exams in the week of the court date. I need your adviise.

Your former address should return the notice to the court that telling them that you have not resided there since 2008. Any court case must occur where you reside.
